Windshield Repair

In cases of minor damage to your windshield, a windshield repair- instead of a full windshield replacement - can often restore the integrity of the glass. The auto glass technician injects a resin-based bonding agent into the damaged area. This stops the windshield from cracking further and prevents the damage from spreading. Once a windshield repair is complete, the driver's view is no longer impaired by the damage (if you look closely, you may be able to detect some residual scarring where the glass was filled with the bonding agent). Windshield repairs are not done for cosmetic reasons, only to structuralize your windshield.

Windshield repairs are less expensive and take less time than a full windshield replacement, often less than 30 minutes. They are covered by most insurance companies. In fact, many insurance companies will waive the deductible if the windshield can simply be repaired instead of replaced.
