Trading Links for Photos

In the world of search engine optimization, it seems like you’re always looking for another link back to your web site. They can be hard to come by, but they’re the gift that keeps on giving! At TeleGlass, we’re looking for 50 49 48 more new photos to update our state pages (plus Washington, DC), and we’d like to trade links to you, your blog, your favorite charity, your Flickr stream, and/or your Twitter profile for your photographic skills.

For example, this is our first link exchange with our brand new New Hampshire Auto Glass photo:

NH-New-Hampshire

New-HampshireOur images are short and wide, so panoramic shots work best. The exact dimensions are 909 by 159, but we can tweak the images to fit that space, so don’t worry if your photos are not that size. What we really need are pictures that are bigger than that, and that will look good in that proportion. See how iLoveButter’s photo first appeared and you get the idea of how we cropped it for this purpose.

We’re also open to suggestions for our blog header photo.

In order for your photo to qualify, it must fit within the same space that our existing pages use. If you look at these pages, you’ll see that we’re trying to capture a bit of the states’ individual personalities. We’re not looking for windshield pictures. Windshield pictures I can take in the parking lot. Pictures of California are harder for me to produce!

So here’s the deal. If you’re interested in having your photo on our site, drop us a line below. If your photo fits our requirements, we’ll let you know and engage you in a dialogue on how we will link back to you. If we come to an agreement, we’ll use the photo and set up your link on our photo credits page. We’re also highlighting each page in the blog with links to the photographer.

You can only send photos you personally took. No copyright infringement allowed! As a responsible member of the communities we serve, we reserve the right to accept or deny any photo/link relationship. If you are looking for a link to a site that competes with our business or promotes intolerance, for example, we will take a pass.

Thanks in advance!
