In our previous homage to TG the TeleGlass Ninja, we showed you how to make a ninja t-shirt mask. This time, we’re going to show you some mad ninja-style t-shirt folding skills. Be prepared to be AMAZED.

Forget that an auto glass guy like me is never going to be able to afford this car. It’s not important. Instead, just watch the video, and see if your heart doesn’t race like all three motors on BMW’s new Vision EfficientDynamics concept car.
This car goes from zero to sixty in a scorching 4.8 seconds (actual measurement converted from the metric near-equivalent 0-100 km per hour) using two electric motors, one on each axle, and a diminutive 1.5 liter direct-injection turbo diesel positioned just forward of the rear axle, making the car superbly balanced.
When the concepts from this car go into production, we’re all going to have to learn a little more about auto glass repair. The glass on this car is amazing. Panoramic roof glass, followed by door glass that goes almost to the bottom of the car. The lack of a pillar between the front and rear seating areas just adds to the view. I imagine driving it must feel as close to wearing a jet pack as you can get and still be on four wheels.
The marketing in the video gets a little corny – they’re manufacturing joy? Ok – that’s pretty silly, but still, I will admit that the car gets my attention. Anything that can drive 400 miles on less than seven gallons of fuel, and look that good while it’s doing it, they’ve got a good thing going. If this is the future of plug-in hybrid technology, count me in.

Beeker is one of the coolest Muppets ever. Enjoy!
(Couldn’t figure out a way to relate this to auto glass, but that’s what Saturday Silliness is all about anyways).

Time for our weekly dose of non autoglass repair blogging. Today’s Saturday Silliness comes from Japan, where the chefs have been replaced by robots. Yikes!

Anyone who reads this blog on a daily basis knows we’re crazy about auto glass. Sad to say, some of us even dream about windshields. As serious as we are about the work we do, we recognize that one needs to blow off a little steam from time to time. All work and no play makes Gomez a dull monkey, so we’re going to post something a little off topic on Saturdays. Nothing to do with windshield repair. Keep it fresh, so to speak. In our initial offering, we offer you the world’s second smallest mammal, which is related to the Elephant. Who knew?

If anybody has not heard this story about a band in the midwest that had their guitars broken by United Airlines then you should watch this video. Millions of viewers on You Tube have already. Not only is it funny, and has a catchy Jingle, but it presents an important lesson about satisfying the customer when something is broken. It doesn’t really make a difference who broke it, or how it was broken. What’s important is that you fix it and stand by the repair or replacement. Or else it can come back to bite you.
At TeleGlass we absolutely stand behind every windshield repair and replacement that we perform throughout the nation. It’s an important business principle if something doesn’t work right or if the customer is not satisfied then it should be fixed. That’s one of the great aspects of what we get to do. We get to fix problems and solve the little but important hassles that drivers face on daily basis. We can handle your auto glass replacement - all it takes is a visit to TeleGlass.com to make an appointment and let’s us fix what’s broken. And we always stand by our auto glass repairs for as long as you own your car.

It’s been a little bit since we posted a video, and thought this was a good example of a way to guarantee that you’ll need TeleGlass to schedule a windshield replacement.
If you ever find yourself in this type a situation, do what everyone but the photographer in this video does. Pull off the side of the road. Once you’re in a safe location, turn off your lights and take your foot off the brake (just in case of visibility issues; you don’t want someone to see your brake lights and try to follow you).
By continuing to drive, you add more energy into the collision between your windshield and the hail, greatly improving the chances of needing TeleGlass to fix your broken windshield.

I saw a photo in which the Lightning Hybrid was compared to the ’63 Corvette Stingray, and that got me interested in the Lightning. Beyond it’s very unique auto glass, the vehicle itself has lots of very cool features, the least of which is its target fuel efficiency of 100 miles per hour (part of Progressive’s Automotive X Prize). Check it out:
