Today’s update comes to the page dedicated to those of you who need a new windshield in Arkansas. Our new photo comes by means of OriginalOakleys on Flickr. We really enjoyed this photo:

Once OriginalOakleys gave us permission to use it, we cropped the image to size, and this is what you will now find on the Arkansas auto glass page:

Thanks again for sharing!

It’s not that being a provider of Auto Glass and Windshields in New York is new, because we’ve been doing it for a long time now. It’s just that along with our quest to update our look, we recently received permission from Paul Sapiano (or peasap on Flickr) to use one of his fantastic panoramic photos to update our New York Auto Glass page.
The photo in question started out like this:

Even though it’s already in a panoramic layout, we had to trim it down some as the image was too tall for our page design. Now it looks like this:

I think you’ll agree that this is a great view for the web page. If you’d like to see more of Paul’s work, head on over to his imagekind page, where individual photos are for sale.
If you need a windshield in New York, we hope you’ll visit TeleGlass.
Thanks again, Paul!

In a recent blog post, we started asking for photos in exchange for links. We’re freshening our look a bit, and wanted to make some new friends in the photography world in the process. Yesterday we updated our web page for New Hampshire Auto Glass with this photo from iLoveButter on Flickr. Once we cropped it to fit, it looks like this:
So if you need a new windshield in New Hampshire, click that link and we’ll hook you up. Want to see some great pictures from New Hampshire? Check out the link to iLoveButter. Thanks again for sharing your work with us!

uninstalled, originally uploaded by Mtnbiker09. Used by permission; all rights reserved by the photographer.

Last week we showed you another photo of this same sign in Pennsylvania. Somewhat surprising that both were published on Flickr at about the same time. Regardless, we really liked the look of these photos.

As everyone who reads us regularly knows, we scour the ‘net for all things auto glass. I was surprised to run across this photo of an old auto glass facility in Brownsville, Pennsylvania the other day. There are actually two great photos of this sign on Flickr; we’ll bring you the other one next week.

At TeleGlass, we scour the Web to bring you interesting stories about your auto glass and windshields. That way you don’t have to!
Today’s offering comes from Sarah of Michigan, who recently blogged about losing, of all things, a windshield wiper. Our guess is that someone stole it. Hats off to Sarah and company, whose quick thinking led them to a simple solution to prevent the windshield from being scratched as they drove 15 miles in wet conditions. They moved the remaining wiper from the passenger side to the driver side, and covered the wiper arm with band aids, thus preventing an expensive auto glass replacement.
Nice job, Sarah! And thanks for agreeing to letting us share your experience with our readers.

In the world of search engine optimization, it seems like you’re always looking for another link back to your web site. They can be hard to come by, but they’re the gift that keeps on giving!
TeleGlass is looking to update its image a little bit. In particular, our state pages could use a face lift (see our Texas or Massachusetts pages for examples). We’re also open to suggestions for our blog header photo. In order for your photo to qualify, it must fit within the same space that our existing pages use. If you look at these pages, you’ll see that we’re trying to capture a bit of the states’ individual personalities. We’re not looking for windshield pictures. Windshield pictures I can take in the parking lot. Pictures of California are harder for me to produce!
So here’s the deal. If you’re interested in having your photo on our site, send copies to teleglass at gmail dot com. If it fits our requirements, we’ll let you know and engage you in a dialogue on how we will link back to you. If we come to an agreement, we’ll use the photo and set up your link on our photo credits page. As soon as we have our first successful submission, we’ll update this post with a link so you can see how it will work in real life.
You can only send photos you personally took. No copyright infringement allowed! As a responsible member of the communities we serve, we reserve the right to accept or deny any photo/link relationship. If you are looking for a link to a site that competes with our business or promotes intolerance, for example, we will take a pass.
Thanks in advance!

You know the time. It’s getting frosty in the morning (at least for those of us in the northern part of the US). If you park outside, this means you’re looking at scraping your windshield before your drive in to work.
If you need to clean frost off of your car’s glass, use a scraper designed for that purpose. Otherwise, you might find yourself needing TeleGlass to repair your windshield – and we know you’d like to avoid that if at all possible!
