Customer Service

Recently I have had some renovations done to my house. Not anything I wanted to do, but something I had to due thanks to the lousy winter we had in Massachusetts. I was happy to have the work started. We are using a great local contractor called Star Construction. Once the work started, Bob the Builder as I call him noticed some lousy work that was done when the house was framed. Without any questions, he fixed the problem and said it was the right thing to do.

This kind of great service is what we try for here at TeleGlass when it comes to auto glass. Our service providers not only will replace or repair your auto glass when you have a breakage, but they will also help correct any issues that may have occurred from a bad install.

We monitor and track shops progress and keep a keen eye on the feedback from the customers we send to them. We understand that mistakes can happen,  but with a TeleGlass shop you can feel confident that you have a quality service provider doing your replacement and you can feel safe in knowing that if you did have a bad install in the past, our providers can fix you up good as new!

Ever since we started this blog I have talked about the windshield stalkers out there and have tried to inform consumers of their practices and to take action to prevent these stalkers from forcing them into filing a claim. Turns out at TeleGlass we are ahead of the curve.

Recently the National Insurance Crime Bureau has caught on and teamed up with our competition to run several short commercials in an effort to inform consumer’s of this practice. I’m not bitter or anything that they teamed up with our competition, just saying, I was talking about this over a year ago…

New auto glass by jronaldlee

The New Light Missionary Baptist Church needed some new glass for their 1986 Ford Econoline church van. TeleGlass helps the church’s insurance company with their glass claims, so when this claim was set up, we helped with the arrangements.

According to the best data I could find, less than 19% of the vehicles sold in 1986 are still on the road. Thinking back to my youth group days, I cannot help but wonder if the church vans of the world last longer than average, or if they suffer at the hands of the youth…

Either way, the glass shop called because they couldn’t find the glass they needed to make the repair. It turns out that not only are fewer than one in five vehicles from 1986 still running, but for that Econoline, most of the back glass is stationary. The Church’s van has windows that can be opened and closed on its rear doors. Long story short, the glass shop didn’t think they could do the job.

Rachel didn’t think that was going to work out very well, so she made some calls. She managed to get her hands on the glass they needed and shipped ‘em out, keeping the trusty Ford van in service, maybe for another 23 years?

Good job, Rachel!

If anybody has not heard this story about a band in the midwest that had their guitars broken by United Airlines then you should watch this video. Millions of viewers on You Tube have already. Not only is it funny, and has a catchy Jingle, but it presents an important lesson about satisfying the customer when something is broken. It doesn’t really make a difference who broke it, or how it was broken. What’s important is that you fix it and stand by the repair or replacement. Or else it can come back to bite you.

At TeleGlass we absolutely stand behind every windshield repair and replacement that we perform throughout the nation. It’s an important business principle if something doesn’t work right or if the customer is not satisfied then it should be fixed. That’s one of the great aspects of what we get to do. We get to fix problems and solve the little but important hassles that drivers face on daily basis. We can handle your auto glass replacement - all it takes is a visit to TeleGlass.com to make an appointment and let’s us fix what’s broken. And we always stand by our auto glass repairs for as long as you own your car.

What makes a Guru? What does it take to become a guru? Mike Myers was honored recently with seven Razzie nominations for his portrayal of the Love Guru in Paramount Studio’s money losing effort. This is easy to ignore – spend your ten bucks somewhere else, or choose not to rent the film. Piece of cake.

But when it comes to auto glass, it’s a whole other story.

At TeleGlass, we’re proud to be part of a company that helps consumers get their auto glass repaired 100,000 times a year. That’s a LOT of auto glass, and we take it very seriously. While we prefer the term “expert” to “guru,” it still begs the question, how do we back that up?

Sheila O'TooleTwo decades . . .It sounds so ominous but it’s true.  As of May 2009, I will have spent 19 years in the auto glass industry.   Over the course of my career, I have been asked what drew me to this industry.

Was it the dynamic business culture?  Or the passionate people? Or the drive to provide unbelievable customer service?

Actually, it was the fact that as a sophomore in college I could not type. [click to continue…]
